Constables Arrest Street Racer Who Caused Major Crash On North Freeway

On January 23, 20222, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 21000 block of the North Freeway in reference to a major accident.
Upon deputies arriving, a driver of one of the involved vehicles was entrapped with serious bodily injury.
Spring Fire Department arrived on scene and had the use the jaws of life to remove the injured driver from the vehicle.
ESD 11 EMS then transported the victim to a local hospital, where the victim underwent emergency surgery.
Further investigation revealed that the victim and a male suspect, identified as Marco Pineda-Hernandez were racing when they collided, sending the victim's vehicle into another vehicle and then off the roadway striking a tree.
"Marco Pineda-Hernadnez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Racing on a Highway causing Serious Bodily Injury.
His bond was set at $35,000.00 out of the 179th District Court." - Constable Mark Herman
