According to reports from PCT 4, on July 27, 2019, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the Murphy Express gas station located in the 1600 block of Louetta Road in reference to a theft.
Upon deputies arriving, a witness advised that three male suspects entered the store and approached the clerk behind the counter and demanded that she stay still. The suspects then began filling bags with multiple cartons of cigarettes and cigars before they fled the scene in a white sedan.
One of the stolen items contained a GPS tracking device and was tracked to the 500 block of Spring Town Center Boulevard. Deputies responded to the location and observed the suspects with the stolen property. All three suspects were detained and identified to be brothers who all had the same first and last names.
Constable Deputies recovered a total of 75 cartons of cigarettes and 70 cigars for a total value of $5,250.00 dollars, that was returned to the business.
"Michael Pickins III, Michael Pickins IV, Michael Pickins V were arrested and booked into the Harris County jail, charged with Felony Theft. They each received a $1,500.00 bond out of the 180th District Court." -Constable Mark Herman
