Two brothers were arrested by PCT 4 Deputies after one was allegedly assaulting employees at a convenience store, and the other decided to interfere with the arrest.
According to reports from PCT 4, on August 2, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's office responded to the Roundup convenience store located in the 13500 block of Kuykendahl Road in reference to a suspect who assaulted two store employees and caused over $12,000.00 worth of damages to the store.
Upon deputies arriving, the suspect exited the store and approached a deputy in an aggressive manner and told the deputy to shoot him. The Constable Deputy used less than lethal force and tased the suspect to gain control and detain him. The suspect was later identified as Derrick Clark.
At this time, Derrick's brother, Charles Clark, arrived on scene and attempted to prevent deputies from arresting his brother. Deputies asked him to leave the location but he did not comply, stated he would just bond out if he were to be arrested and continued to interfere with the investigation.
"Derrick and Charles Clark were both arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Charles was charged with Interfering with the Duties of a Public Servant and received a $100.00 bond. Derrick was charged with two counts of Assault and Criminal Mischief. His total bond was set at $300.00 out of County Court 4." -Constable Mark Herman
