The Harris County PCT 4 Constable's Office is asking for your help locating a suspect whose DNA has linked him to a 3-year-old robbery case in Spring.
According to reports from PCT 4, in August of 2016, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's office responded to the 2100 block of Old Holzwarth Road in reference to an armed male suspect who broke into an apartment complex.
The homeowner was in his living room and quickly reached for his weapon and the suspect fled the scene. Upon deputies arriving, they recovered an article of clothing that was left behind by the suspect. The evidence was sent to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science for testing.
Then, on July 9, 2019, Constable Investigators received a DNA match that linked a suspect, Carlos Pawnell to the burglary. A photo array was provided to the homeowner and he positively identified Carlos Pawnell as the suspect.
Carlos Parnell has an extensive criminal history in Harris County, which includes, Evading Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Assault, and Aggravated Robbery.
He received seven years of Deferred Adjudication in May of 2019 for his role in a string of cell phone store robberies, and he is currently wanted by law enforcement on this latest charge of Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Other Felony. He received No Bond currently out of the 232nd District Court.
