On September 8, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to an in-progress burglary in the 22100 block of Bridgestone Oak Court where a black male and a white female were observed breaking into a motor vehicle and stealing property.
Upon deputies arriving, they were unable to locate the suspects but did find several spent shell casings on the roadway. While on scene, deputies received additional information that the suspect vehicle, a blue Acura SUV, was currently being followed by a witness/neighbor on the Grand Parkway by Cypress Rosehill.
Constable Deputies responded to this location, observed the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was detained and identified as Leslie Diaz, who was positively identified by a witness as being involved in the burglary.
During the search of the vehicle, deputies located the complainant's stolen property. The vehicle had several bullet holes on the side of it.
She refused to cooperate with deputies as to who the other suspect was. It was also undetermined who discharged their firearm at the suspect' vehicle as no one would come forward.
Leslie Diaz was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Her bond was set at $3,000.00 out of County Court 09." - Constable Mark Herman
