The Woodlands Township will host the National Night Out Community Safety Expo on Saturday, October 5, 2019, from noon to 3 p.m. at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. This free, family-friendly event highlights public safety in the community and is held in advance of National Night Out, which is set for Sunday, October 13, 2019.

The Community Safety Expo is a day of food, fun and public safety demonstrations for the entire community. Meet public safety personnel, climb aboard equipment from local, state and federal agencies and learn about the role of public safety in the community. The various agencies and groups in attendance will have information and giveaways to distribute about fire safety, crime prevention and emergency preparedness along with health and wellness information.

Entertainment will include K-9 demonstrations, Entergy Arcs and Sparks, and Hands-Only CPR by Montgomery County Hospital District. Live music will be provided by the Vinyl Arcade Band. The Kid Zone will offer face painting, a bounce house, crafts and opportunities to meet McGruff the Crime Dog, Smokey the Bear and Puffy Pine ConeĀ®. Complimentary food and refreshments will be offered while supplies last, sponsored by HEB, Chick-fil-A and Firehouse Subs.
