Klein ISD Musicians Selected For TMEA All-State Music Groups
As a Best Community for Music Education, Klein ISD takes great pride in seeing their talented students excel in their passion for music.
These 18 students earned the honor of being named an All-State musician after competing at the Region and Area levels of competition.
These All-State musicians represent the top two percent of all music students in Texas.
“As a 2020 Best Communities for Music Education recipient, we are thrilled to recognize our 18 TMEA All-State musicians this year,” said Joel Wren, Klein ISD Director of Fine Arts.
“Despite the obstacles of the year, our music students have excelled at their craft and have grown as young musicians.
This year’s tryout process was all virtual, which added to the competition’s rigor. Our students navigated exceptionally well.
We are so proud of these outstanding students!
Not only are the All-State musicians incredibly talented, but they are also brilliant.
According to TMEA, All-State musicians average 1302 on their SAT while the national average is 1068 and the Texas average is 1032.
The benefits of a well-rounded Klein ISD education are clear!
“We’re so proud of all these outstanding fine arts students and also to the excellent educators who helped them get to this amazing milestone,” said Dr. Jenny McGown, Klein ISD Superintendent.
“Klein ISD has long been a supporter of the arts and a leader in music education, and these students are a direct outcome of that commitment.
Congratulations to all of our outstanding all-state musicians!”
Congratulations to all these amazing student-musicians!
