Life Saving Award Given To Deputy
On December 23, 2020, Deputy Jonathan Valdez with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a female trapped inside of a burning a vehicle in the 8300 block of Herts Road.
Upon his arrival on the scene, he observed the vehicle on fire and smoke filling the cabin of the vehicle.
He rushed to the vehicle and forced entry thru window.
He then removed the female victim from the vehicle and moved her to a safe location away from the vehicle.
Deputy Valdez's quick thinking and immediate actions resulted in the victim being rescued from a burning vehicle and her life being saved.
His actions showed compassion, courage and professionalism to assist someone who was in need of rescue.
