Safe Medication Disposal Event Continues

The Take Back Drugs event allows citizens to ensure that the medication is disposed of in a safe and secure method.

Because of COVID-19, the Fire Department has added additional resources for the community.

Some members of the community may be continuing isolation or social distancing, therefore, SMCFD is rolling out their Single Use Disposal System (SUDS) to allow citizens to safely dispose of unused prescription medication.

They are located at every Fire Station including the administration building, right near the front doors.

Funding made possible by grant award number (H79TI081729) from SAMHSA with the support of Texas Health and Humans Services Commission.

If you have any questions: please contact the Sr. project manager, Danielle Campbell at 713.743.7016 or email dscampbe@central.uh.edu.
